Romac High Performance Harmonic Balancers are made in a range of materials to cater for all performance needs. This Gold Series balancer is made of a steel inner and alloy outer design which mays it super light weighing in at only 5 lbs.

All Romac Harmonic Balancers are SFI 18.1 Approved.

Powerbond Balancers

Most standard harmonic balancers are assembled with inserted dampening rubber which won't handle the torque forces and higher revs the modern engines generate. This leads to spinning of the inertia ring resulting in loss of timing accuracy and eventual component separation and bearing and/or crank failure. Often these balancers are made of relatively weak Grey cast iron which often cracks in the keyways and center webbing.

Even expensive all steel or alloy performance balancers from most manufacturers use similar rubber inserts which still break down over time in the same way as standard balancers.

POWERBOND balancers eliminate these common failures in standard and performance balancers by positively bonding the dampening rubber to the metal components under extreme heat and pressure. The state of art bonding process used on all POWERBOND models eliminates spinning of the inertia ring and separation of the dampening material in even the most highly stressed applications.

Every POWERBOND harmonic balancer is manufactured from all new materials; either high strength SG (nodular) iron or AUSI 1045 steel precision CNC machined for total accuracy. Every assembly is balanced at the factory to precise tolerances.

The ultra-modern manufacturing process allows all new POWERBOND balancers to be sold at such competitive prices.

Stock Replacement Balancer

Our POWERBOND Stock Replacement Balancers are a better/stronger balancer than other stock replacements (including GM) but completely stock appearing.

Performance Street Balancers

Performance Street Balancers are manufactured using a unique process that heat bonds the dampening rubber between a new high strength modular iron center and inertia ring. Performance Street Balancers' heat bonding process eliminates slipping and component separation up to 6500 RPM. These balancers also feature permanently etched timing marks in 2-degree increments and additional 90-degree increments. Performance Street Harmonic Balancers are not SFI approved.

Performance Race Balancers

Performance Race Balancers are recommended for severe duty and racing applications when an SFI approved balancer is required. The dampening rubber is heat bonded between a precision CNC machined 1045 steel center and inertia ring. The inertia ring is positively protected against any movement and the bonded dampening rubber eliminates spinning. These balancers also feature permanently etched timing marks in 2-degree increments and additional 90-degree increments. These balancers have been tested and approved to 12,500 RPM. Performance Race Balancers meet SFI specification 18:1.
